Instrument Practice Flashcards
Automatic scheduling for efficient daily practice
Create flashcards for your practice materials and have them automatically scheduled for spaced repetition. The flashcards you need to practice more will appear more often, helping you focus on making progress. Ones for which you’ve met your performance goals can be kept in rotation, helping you maintain your abilities.

Create
To create a flashcard:
- Specify the instrument it is for.
- Specify the material it is for. This could be instructions for playing an exercise or a piece of music, in a book or on a web page, for example.
- Optionally specify a target tempo and any other performance instructions for it.
Review
Choose an instrument to review flashcards for. If needed, a virtual keyboard is available to tune your instrument to.
For each flashcard:
- Optionally set the tempo and start the built-in metronome.
- Practice the material following any performance instructions.
- Answer “Did you meet your performance goals at the set tempo?” to schedule the next review:
- “No”, or “Almost” or “Yes” not at the target tempo — 0 days off before the next review (scheduled for the following day), or 1 day off after 3 consecutive reviews with the same answer and tempo.
- “Almost” at the target tempo — 1 day off before the next review, or 2 days off after 3 consecutive “Almost” answers at the target tempo.
- “Yes” at the target tempo — 2 days off before the next review, then double the days off after each consecutive “Yes” at the target tempo, up to 32 days.
